Peter Anthony Chiodo (“Tony”), CEO & President

Peter Anthony "Tony" Chioto

Peter Anthony Chiodo (“Tony”) is the CEO and President of Soul and Vibe Interactive Inc. He has 22 years experience in the video and computer games industry as an award-winning Director of Product Development and Producer. Tony has launched 200+ video and computer games over the course of his career. He holds an MBA from the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business (1998).

Tony has extensive experience leading software production teams, worldwide, in the development of engine technologies and games for consoles and personal computers. He created and implemented a development process that resulted in the release of 100+ frontline and “casual” games over 4 years. He has managed an internal development studio (35+ engineers, artists, and designers), has directed 30+ externally contracted development teams located all over the world, and oversaw a production management department (seven persons). Tony produced/co-designed the critically acclaimed Stoked: Big Air snowboarding series (Xbox 360) and the million-unit selling title, Summer Sports: Paradise Island (Wii).

Products developed by the internal studio Tony managed secured a capital raise of $12m+ (the second largest raise in the interactive industry for 2006). An investment-equity position was also struck with In-Q-Tel, a VC associated with the “lettered agencies” of the United States’ Federal Government. Tony has produced "serious games" training tools for the United States Marine Corps (“USMC”) and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (“DARPA.”) Tony has served as a consultant to SiMCare Health and Vital Sims, Minnesota-based software companies that develop “serious games” for health care providers. Specifically, these simulations help physicians and nurses provide care to patients who suffer from chronic disease.

Tony has built relationships and negotiated agreements with: Independent software developers, licensing agents, Olympic champions, professional athletes and sports leagues, localization partners, and toy companies. He has presented proposals to the likes of Steven Spielberg and Mark Hamill for potential interactive products based on their own intellectual properties.

As an adjunct faculty member representing the Video and Computer Games Industry, Tony instructs "The Business of Video Games" and “The Art, Culture, and Economics of Video Games” at the Institute of Production and Recording (IPR) in Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Eric Trelstad, Director of Operations

Eric Trelstad is the acting Director of Operations for the Company. Trelstad has been involved in the development of the Company’s operations as a shareholder and Soul and Vibe intends to formalize his role as Director of Operations in the near future.

Trelstad has two decades of operations experience in the entertainment industry, including 10 years of owning and managing entertainment production facilities. He is an entrepreneurial-minded team builder with a history of growing early stage companies into thriving operations in the entertainment market. He has applied his aptitude for studio design and maintenance to two full-scale production facility build-outs, and has overseen the purchasing, asset management, and inventory control of over one million dollars-worth of equipment. He possesses a strong understanding of employer and human resources policies, regulations, and best practices. His experience includes starting, building and selling a financial services company, as well as building and selling Noware Media Group, a digital content studio specializing in sound design and music. In the studio, he has worked with some the top talent in entertainment including Will.I.Am and Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, Hootie and the Blowfish, Counting Crows, Nickelback, Avril Lavigne, Wynonna Judd, Lincoln Park, Brian Setzer of the Stray Cats/Surfdog, Elvis Costello and the Attractions, and many more. Trelstad also served as Program Chair of the Institute of Production and Recording (IPR) in Minneapolis, where he invited Soul and Vibe CEO, Peter Anthony Chiodo (“Tony”), to teach classes as an adjunct faculty member representing the Video and Computer Games Industry.

Michael Hess, Financial Reporting & Internal Controls

Michael Hess is Soul and Vibe's financial reporting and internal control consultant. Mike is an independent owner-operator of a financial services firm providing contract financial reporting and internal control consulting services to public companies with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting obligations.

Working closely with company management, accounting staff, external auditors, and legal counsel, Mike provides accounting, internal control compliance and financial reporting expertise to assist Soul and Vibe Interactive with the preparation of periodic financial statements to be filed with the SEC.

Mike has over 15 years of SEC accounting and financial reporting experience in both public accounting and in industry. His experience includes six years in public accounting, specializing in SEC audit and technical accounting at both local and national accounting firms. Mike has also held corporate controller positions at mid-sized companies engaging in managed transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.

Advisory Board

The Company has assembled a Strategic Advisory Board comprised of subject matter experts from the video and computer games industry. Four members of our Advisory Board have been publicly announced as of May 28, 2013.

Jamie King

Jamie King is an award-winning interactive entertainment pioneer. He was a Co-Founder and VP of Product Development at Rockstar Games, the video game developer and publisher best known for game franchises such as Grand Theft Auto, Max Payne, Red Dead, and Manhunt.

Jamie has experience building companies from start-up, through rapid scale up, to public company executive management. He was Director of Development at Take Two Interactive, one of the largest publicly traded video game publishers in the industry. In 2007 he founded 4MM Games, and in his role as Chief Creative Officer, he created and developed numerous branded games, including Def Jam Rapstar for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii video game consoles. Most recently, Jamie has been involved in the latest innovations in gaming, including free-to-play browser games, mobile apps and social web design. With 80 video game credits to his name, Jamie King is a highly sought-after industry executive.

Michael Bolden

Michael Bolden is a strategy-oriented executive who has led development teams around the world in the creation of video game and interactive entertainment content. He brings to Soul and Vibe’s Advisory Board expertise in business development, content creation and strategic partnering.

Bolden is currently Development Director at Larva Game Studios where he leads a team of 50 artists and programmers and manages the development of original intellectual property (IP) from concept to finished game for console, mobile and personal computer platforms. He is also a Principle at Timeflux Studios where he has consulted on the design and development of nine entertainment and game projects. He was also founding Partner and Studio Head of Pixofactor Entertainment where he oversaw numerous projects for consoles and mobile platforms. As Business Development and Project Director at Stratogon Entertainment, Bolden oversaw nine console, PC and mobile game projects. He was also behind the launch of Beyond Digital, a multimedia studio that launched Critical Moves USA, one of the largest motion capture stages in the Midwest.

Erik Stein

Erik Stein is an expert in engineering, design and production management of video games for brands including Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Playskool, and Trivial Pursuit.

Stein has 20 years of game industry experience. With a Degree in Music Production and Engineering from the Berklee College of Music, he got his start as an Audio/Video engineer for the first generation of CD-ROM based games. After working with industry icon Steve Meretsky at Boffo Games, he became a Producer at Hasbro Interactive, which was the digital gaming division of Hasbro, one of the largest toy companies in the world. While at Hasbro Interactive, he managed multiple external development teams that were contracted to create games based on well‐known brands including Star Wars, Trivial Pursuit, My Little Pony, Playskool, Guess Who, and more. Since forming Gameblend Studios in 1999, Stein has continued to produce and engineer dozens of projects for brands such as Lord of Rings and an upcoming game for the classic move hit, The Princess Bride. Stein has been the Lead Engineer on over 15 games for Electronic Arts and Pogo.com. He was also the Lead Engineer on Pogo's iPhone app, which was the #1 downloaded free iOS app on Apple’s App Store. Stein’s expertise includes cross-platform engineering and design between physical toys and video games as well as licensing original intellectual properties (IP) created by Gameblend Studios for video games, physical board games, and entertainment products. Stein has licensed print publication rights for Hidato, a Gameblend Studios game franchise, to 30 newspapers including the UK’s second biggest selling daily newspaper Daily Mail, and has licensed Hidato puzzle book publishing rights to Andrew McMeel Publishing.

Stein extends his passion for gaming into charitable causes. He is Development Director at Global Gaming Initiative, a for-profit gaming company that donates 50% of its profits to qualifying charities.

Scott Balaban

Scott Balaban has a strong product design background, with expertise integrating software-based digital game play with physical toys, to create immersive experiences around proprietary intellectual properties (IP) and top-tier licensed brands.

Balaban holds a BFA, Industrial Design, from the University of Michigan and has over 15 years of game industry experience, specializing in the design and creation of toys and games. He has worked directly with licensed-brands that include Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Nickelodeon properties, Disney, and more. Balaban was a Senior Game and Toy Designer for Hasbro Interactive, which was the digital gaming division of Hasbro, one of the largest toy companies in the world. He was the Industrial Design and Game Director for Backbone Entertainment, a leading PC game developer, and managed Design and Business Development for Magellan Interactive, a Vancouver-based independent software developer. Balaban co-founded Gameblend Studios with his business partner Erik Stein. There, he leads Business Development and recently secured rights for the classic movie hit, The Princess Bride. Gameblend Studios has created top casual and social games for the web, mobile, PC, console, toy, print, and handheld markets and is a publisher and developer of original IP games including WordJong®, and Hidato™.

Balaban’s recent projects include games for the Kindle, iOS, Nintendo Wii and DS platforms. He has also worked on a wide range of projects including children's software, smart phone applications, puzzle books, electronic toys, and traditional board and card games. He extends his passion for gaming into charitable causes. He is Development Director at Global Gaming Initiative, a for-profit gaming company that donates 50% of its profits to qualifying charities. He also is developing games for the US National Science Foundation to be used in after school programs, educating children on the relationship between energy production, climate, and water.
